The store, somewhat incomplete, launches today, 23 Sept, 2005. You can go there via the link at the end of this update. Please make sure to read our terms before ordering. These will be integrated into the store soon. Until then, please look over before ordering.

We are excited about new timers we have coming, but they are not yet in the store. A few other items are not yet listed, and we will soon post a very helpful content analysis of our handbooks and manuals written by Steve Graf to help y’all sort out what material is covered in which book.

The Haughton Learning Center materials will be fully described soon, too.

Well, our merchant account will not be ready until after the weekend, and I’m running out-of-town for a four-day weekend that will put the launch on hold until at least Wednesday the 21st.

This is a very exciting and unpredictable time for us, but we have been working very aggressively. Now, we just wait for a few days, and then we’ll be set.

We are currently in the process of configuring the payment options for the online store, and then we can launch. It may take a few days for the bank world to catch up.

With the exception of content on which we are relying on other people, the BRCo site and store are all due this month. Starting at the end of this week, we will have a full-functioning store, with limited item descriptions and item tours. Those descriptions and tours will be fleshed out at a rate of as many as a few-per-day. New items will also be added to the store at a pretty consistent rate.

The site, as a resource, may or may not launch with the store, but you will see it in September. Our priority right now is to get the store up-and-running for this new semester, so you may not see them in concert. But there has been a lot of work behind the scenes, and we are very proud of the progress BRCo is making.

The catalog continues to be refined.

We can confirm that we will not be offering WOGR paper (the cost is far to expensive to expect anyone to actually purchase it — reams would cost well over $500!). See the previous update if you’re confused by this.

We will be offering both the Standard and Deluxe versions of the Handbook of the Standard Celeration Chart, as well as Standard Celeration Charting 2002 by Graf and Lindsley. We can also confirm that we will be distributing the EEU rate finders along with the BRCo Celeration finders, as well as some other goodies that will be announced with the unfolding of the webstore. And we are still taking suggestions.

E-mail ordering will begin by the end of the week next week. The website and store will be open sometime in June.

We are also still looking for links to our consumers, peers, and collegues per the earlier posts. Please make suggestions to that effect as well.

As promised last week, we have decided to make some changes in the way that we package our charts. Previous to this year, charts have only been available in lots of 100 and 500. In the future, most of our popular charts will be available in lots of 500 (one ream), 100, 50, and 25. We are hoping that this will allow you to purchase charts in ratios that better reflect the ways in which you use them.

We are currently reprinting some charts and making decisions about paper quality and type — we are hoping to offer all of our charts on the classic WOGR paper (Water, Oil, and Grease Resistant), which has many advantages over the current Commodity paper stock, but at a cost of about ten times the cost of Commodity stock. Commodity paper stock would always be available concurrent with WOGR for those with limited budgets. We are still awaiting word from our printer, and will announce the outcome here when available.

We are now certain that we will be offering both the classic 1972 edition of the Handbook of the Standard Behavior Chart, as well as the new Deluxe edition. Other additions to the catalog will be announced next week.

For the upcoming website, we are asking that any of our customers who have an online presence (website, company listing, etc.) let us know so that we can link to those websites in our links section. Any other link suggestions related to the SCC, Precision Teaching, performance improvement, the science of instructional design, measurement, behavior analysis, or any other suggestions would also be appreciated. Please e-mail anything to this effect to: may-2005@behaviorresearchcompany.com, or post them as a comment to this post. We are in the throes of ironing ancient bugs out of the ordering and shipping procedure — soon things will be much more efficient. By May 16 we will be able to take orders from repeat customers (in good standing) via e-mail as a stop-gap before our store goes online in June. At that time, we will be able to accept multiple forms of payment.

The catalog is being streamlined as part of this process. By May 6th we are going to allow lot sizes other than 100-count and 500-count for charts. If you have suggestions or ideas about ways that you have always wished we could serve you, please e-mail those to may-2005@behaviorresearchcompany.com.
